All of the articles on EA Travel Hub have been written from first-hand experience and are designed to help you prepare your own trip to this beautiful part of the world.

The blog is split into several sections, to help you navigate your way around the site:

  • Activities: There are so many incredible things to do in East Africa and opportunities truly abound. In this section of EA Travel Hub, you will find articles about safaris, gorilla treks, mountain climbs, white water rafting, and a whole host of other activities that make this region so special. The articles include tips on how to arrange the activities that excite you the most.
  • In-country travel: One of the things that most people are concerned about before visiting East Africa is how to travel around upon arrival. With that in mind, this section contains articles dedicated to in-country travel, from hiring a car to taking internal flights. All the articles are based on firsthand experiences and provide you with an insight into what in-country travel is like in East Africa.
  • Staying & Eating: One of the biggest considerations when preparing an independent trip to East Africa is where to stay. Based on my 10+ years traveling and latterly living in the region, I provide some top tips on where to stay and eat, to help you find the perfect base during your trip.
  • Volunteering: I know that lots of people plan trips to East Africa to volunteer on various projects. As such, I dedicate a section of EA Travel Hub to volunteering, ensuring that the volunteering opportunities that you seek out are ethical. I have volunteered in East Africa myself and share some reflections on my experiences.

Ultimately, if you’re planning to travel independently to East Africa in the near future, this blog will serve as a helpful and insightful resource when planning your trip.

Should you have any questions about your trip or if you want to reflect on anything I have shared in any of my articles, please do leave me a comment and I will get back to you.
