I have partnered with several organisations in creating this blog, as introduced below.
AJ Tours & Travel
AJ Tours & Travel is a tour company based in Kampala, Uganda, with experience in delivering outstanding travel experiences in East Africa to clients from all around the world. I have partnered with AJ Tours due to my long-standing relationship with Andrew – Operations Manager at the firm.
I have known Andrew since 2012 and he has arranged countless safaris for me in Uganda, and every experience has been memorable for all the right reasons. AJ Tours are professional and affordable, and pay attention to detail that ensures your trip is aligned with your expectations.
Although based in Uganda, AJ Tours offers trips in Kenya, Tanzania, DR Congo, Rwanda, and Burundi, covering all bases in East Africa. Whether you’re planning a trip to Queen Elizabeth National Park or the Serengeti, AJ Tours can make the arrangements on your behalf to make things that little bit easier.
Of course, AJ Tours isn’t the only tour company operating in Uganda and there are so many choices! However, I can confidently recommend Andrew and the team thanks to their professionalism and expertise in the field – two extremely important factors when choosing a tour company.
Should you wish to enquire about a trip with AJ Tours, reach out and contact Andrew directly via their website. Be sure to let him know that I sent you :-)!
The Zuri Project
Since its inception, The Zuri Project has supported a number of projects at a rural primary school and health centre, and has also raised the funds to build a secondary school in Uganda from scratch. Like many community projects in Uganda, we raise most of our funds from family members, friends, and community groups and we’re always grateful to anyone willing to fundraise on our behalf.
The Zuri Project has also facilitated school trips from the UK to Uganda, supporting young people to learn about Ugandan culture by staying with local families and interacting with local projects. It’s a project that we’re keen to expand in the coming years by working with other schools in the UK.
The community that The Zuri Project supports is half-way between Queen Elizabeth National Park (Ishasha Sector) and Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. So, if you’re visiting Uganda and heading for safari, you have a great opportunity to find out more about the community development work undertaken by Zuri in recent times.
